I will dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
